The
business plan competition held in the fall of 2006 was the first of
its kind for BBI and sparked interest regionally and nationally as
it offered one of the largest prizes for general business plan
competitions. The contestants were either current or aspiring
business owners whose eligibility to compete required evidence of
completion of a certified entrepreneurship training course or
workshop such as BBI’s NxLeveL™ Entrepreneurship Series. The BBI Top
Ten finalists had an opportunity to “pitch” their plans in front of
a distinguished panel of lender, angel investor, VC, academic,
entrepreneur, corporate and government representatives who
ultimately decided, that Eden Christian Bookstore was the winner of
$25,000 cash grand prize.
