BBI ANNOUNCES TOP 10 FINALISTS COMPETING FOR $25,000

Bronner Business Institute (BBI) has announced the BBI Top Ten finalists in its 3rd Annual $25,000 Business Plan Competition. The BBI competition offers one of the largest prizes for general business plan competitions in the nation. The contestants are either current or aspiring business owners whose eligibility to compete required evidence of completion of a certified entrepreneurship training course or workshop such as BBI’s NxLeveL™ Entrepreneurship Series. The BBI Top Ten finalists will next have an opportunity on Saturday, September 27th to give a 15-minute “pitch” presentation of their plans in front of a distinguished panel of lenders, angel investors, venture capitalists, academicians, entrepreneurs, corporate and government representatives who will decide which entrepreneur will win the $25,000 cash grand prize.

The goal of the competition is to provide a tangible incentive for current and aspiring business owners to engage in entrepreneurial education, strategic planning, and capital raising to start or expand their businesses. “The competition is tremendous growth experience for the participants,” stated Dr. Alfred Watkins, President of BBI. “Past winners have used the funds to courageously venture out into business and provide new products and services to the marketplace. Many of the competitors are graduates of our BBI NxLeveL™ training program, but there are an increased number of entrants from our external marketing efforts geared toward other entrepreneurship training organizations in the area.”
